Programme Objectives:
This qualification provides Learners with knowledge, understanding and practical skills in community development and social change to support employability skills and professional attributes in community development, social welfare, non-governmental organisations, community-based organisations, development programmes and public sector contexts, such as the following:
• Knowledge of community development principles, social development, community mobilisation and social change
• Skills in communication, leadership, conflict resolution, research and community engagement
• Understanding of capacity building, entrepreneurship, project management, resource mobilisation and partnership working
• Understanding of legal, demographic and disaster risk issues affecting communities and social development practice

Course Structure:
ICM Level 4 Diploma in Community Development and Social Change
The ICM Level 4 Diploma in Community Development and Social Change is awarded on completion of all Part 1 subjects.
ICM Level 5 Diploma in Community Development and Social Change
The ICM Level 5 Diploma in Community Development and Social Change is awarded on completion of all Part 2 subjects.
ICM Level 6 Diploma in Community Development and Social Change
The ICM Level 6 Diploma in Community Development and Social Change is awarded on completion of all Part 3 subjects.
