Community Mobilisation aims to provide Learners with a clear understanding of how communities function and how mobilisation processes support collective action, participation and positive change. Learners explore the concepts, characteristics and functions of communities, the principles and practices of community mobilisation and the strategies used to engage and organise groups.
The unit also examines the barriers that affect mobilisation efforts, the role of change agents and the importance of communication, participation and analysis tools in enabling successful community development initiatives. Upon completion, Learners will be able to recognise the essential components that drive effective community mobilisation in social, development and organisational contexts.
This unit forms part of the Community Development and Social Change Qualification.
Example Candidate Response Booklet
Example Candidate Response (ECR) Booklets are a source of crucial information for Centres and Candidates as they use real candidate responses. We ask Senior Examiners to comment on five or more responses in terms of why the mark was awarded with commentary about how to improve the answer (if necessary).
