Community Leadership and Conflict Resolution aims to develop Learners’ understanding of leadership roles, responsibilities and styles within community development contexts, with a particular focus on participation, ethical management and conflict resolution. Learners explore leadership theories and styles, community relations and integration, leadership development and the management of conflict arising in community development programmes.
The unit also examines emerging practices influencing leadership and capacity building. By the end of the unit, Learners will be able to analyse leadership challenges, evaluate conflict resolution strategies, and apply appropriate leadership approaches to support inclusive, sustainable community development.
This unit forms part of the Community Development and Social Change Qualification.
Example Candidate Response Booklet
Example Candidate Response (ECR) Booklets are a source of crucial information for Centres and Candidates as they use real candidate responses. We ask Senior Examiners to comment on five or more responses in terms of why the mark was awarded with commentary about how to improve the answer (if necessary).
