The ICM Level 2 Award in Psychology (RQF)is an exciting new qualification which focuses on contemporary research and current issues to engage Learners through hands-on practical work, debate and independent study. It places ethical and social issues at the core of the qualification and explores areas of psychology including social psychology (prejudice and discrimination), biological psychology (sleep and dreaming) and conducting research. This qualification has been designed and reviewed by teachers of psychology, psychology Learners and assessment subject experts.

Scheme of Work

The following suggested scheme of work covers the Teaching Content for ICM Level 2 Award in Psychology (RQF). It offers a flexible, weekly guide to teaching and learning and is intended to be used alongside ICM’s Online Teaching Resources.

Important Dates

Examination date and time: Wednesday 1st May 2024 at 10:00 GMT
Results issue date: Wednesday 3rd July 2024
Certification date: Wednesday 4th September 2024

2024 registration deadline date: Monday 5th February 2024

The ICM Level 2 Award in Psychology (RQF) is typically taught over 28 weeks (with GLH of one hour per week) from September or alternatively, it can be taught from January over 14 weeks (with GLH of two hours per week). To register Learners, please contact info@icm.education prior to the commencement of teaching.

ICM facilitate reasonable adjustments to assessment in line with our Reasonable Adjustment and Special Consideration Policy and Procedure downloadable here. The deadlines for access arrangements are as follows: 

Deadline for ICM provided Reasonable Adjustments (e.g. braille, enlarged papers etc): Monday 5th February 2024
Deadline for Centre provided Access Arrangements (e.g. extra time, a reader, a scribe etc): Monday 1st April 2024

Registration fees can be paid by any one of the following methods:

  • Sterling Bank Draft – must be made payable to ICM

  • Sterling Postal Order – must be made payable to ICM

  • Sterling Cheque (if drawn on a UK Bank) – Cheques must be made payable to ICM

Enquiries about Results (EAR)

Enquiries about Results (EAR) are of two types. These are either a ‘priority review of marking’ or a ‘review of marking’ as detailed below. The fee(s) will be refunded in full should the grade increase, for more information about EAR please refer to the Enquiries About Results (EAR) policy document.
