Entrepreneurship, Economic Development and Empowerment

ICM Professional Diploma Unit

Entrepreneurship, Economic Development and Empowerment aims to develop Learners’ analytical understanding of entrepreneurship as a driver of economic and social development. Learners explore the generation of business ideas, entrepreneurial attitudes and behaviours and the processes involved in starting, managing and sustaining enterprises.

The unit also examines the influence of sustainability, consumer behaviour and green marketing on entrepreneurial decision-making, alongside the principles and dynamics of development economics. By the end of the unit, Learners will be able to evaluate entrepreneurial opportunities, apply economic principles to social development challenges and assess the role of entrepreneurship in addressing poverty, inequality and sustainable development.

This unit forms part of the Community Development and Social Change Qualification.

Example Candidate Response Booklet

Example Candidate Response (ECR) Booklets are a source of crucial information for Centres and Candidates as they use real candidate responses. We ask Senior Examiners to comment on five or more responses in terms of why the mark was awarded with commentary about how to improve the answer (if necessary).
