Qualification Objectives:

  • To equip Learners with the knowledge, understanding and skills necessary to demonstrate occupational competence in the workplace in the hairdressing and beauty industry enabling Learners to perform services and assist others.
  • To provide a competency based skills qualification in hairdressing and beauty that combines both subject knowledge and industry skills that are essential for the Learner’s development and career advancement.
  • To enable Learners to develop hair and beauty skills, techniques, and knowledge, which will prepare Learners to progress to level 3 vocational learning within the hairdressing and beauty industry.
  • To provide a progression structure for Learners to develop the workplace skills and personal attributes essential for successful working lives within the hairdressing and beauty industry.

ICM Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy

Mandatory units

Learners must pass all 16 mandatory units, to include all 4 core units, all 6 hairdressing units and all 6 beauty therapy units.
