Regulation and Organisational Training Officer

Job Types: Full-time, permanent position office-based in Ringwood, Hampshire (some flexibility with Working from Home arrangements available)

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

Summary

·        The primary role is to ensure compliance to all regulatory; industry and company standards, reporting any issues to the          Quality and Development Director and Chief Executive Officer, with recommendations to resolve the issue(s).

·        The secondary role is to identify training and development needs within the organisation through job analysis,           organisational compliance self-evaluation review, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with line managers.

 

Job Description

·        Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

·        Identify how to improve and strengthen procedures, balancing compliance with training, development and efficiency of          staff.

·        Attend meetings as scribe/observer and attend conferences required to fulfill the role.

·        Produce and present reports to the Trustee Board, Quality Board, Management meetings or other forums and meetings as           required.

 

Compliance Function

·        Review policy, procedures and practices to ensure they are correctly applied and are compliant with regulatory          requirements.

·        Assure the quality of the systems for continued compliance with regulatory requirements to maintain applicable          qualifications.

·        Manage the creation and development of technical files.

·        Control and maintain ICM's document management and filing systems.

·        Ensure that all procedures and controlled documents are introduced, and any subsequent changes to existing documents          are made according to an agreed standard with full records kept in accordance with the Quality directives.

·        Host internal audits and liaise with notified bodies.

·        Keep abreast of policies, initiatives and requirements relevant to regulatory compliance.

·        Ensure that all statutory training requirements are met.

 

Organisational Training Function

·        Manage the delivery of training and development plans.

·        Design and expand training and development plans based on the needs of the organisation and the individual. Work with all          relevant parties within the organisation to implement training and development plans.

·        Evaluate training and development plans, amend and revise plans as necessary to adapt to changes in the work          environment.

·        Act on directives from the Quality and Development Director and Responsible Officer to implement the training needed to          grow and retain workforce skills.

·        Develop effective induction programmes for new staff and graduate trainees.

·        Produce training materials for in-house courses.

·        Create and/or deliver a range of eLearning packages.

·        Monitor and review the progress of trainees through questionnaires and correspondence with line managers.

·         Liaise with third party trainers to arrange delivery of training.

 

Qualifications and Experience

·        Degree or equivalent professional qualification, or significant professional experience and excellent track record.

·        Experience of compliance, together with a working knowledge and sound understanding of regulatory requirements.

·        Experience in, and understanding of, the field of education.

·        Knowledge and understanding of the regulations governing qualifications.

·        Knowledge of the role of the Regulatory Authorities in the quality and monitoring of qualifications.

·        Ability to sense emerging issues and think about solutions before escalation.

·        Enthusiastic, driven and committed with interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people at all levels of an          organisation.
