‍Compliance Officer

£20,000 - £25,000 

8:30am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday office based in Ringwood, Hampshire

Reports to: Quality and Development Manager 

The Compliance Officer role is to ensure policy, process, evidence and records are maintained in accordance with the guidelines stipulated by all relevant regulatory body requirements and ICM policies and procedures.  The Compliance Officer's tasks include, but are not limited to, the following job description:

Administrative Support

  • Effective correspondence with third parties and external stakeholders
  • Maintain evidence and records electronically and hard copy files
  • Manage record keeping and filing 
  • Formatting documentation
  • Minute taking and report writing for meetings and panels
  • Assembling, interpreting and analysing data to inform Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Key Risk Indicators (KRI)

Quality and Compliance 

  • Support compliance to all regulatory, industry and company standards
  • Work with the Quality and Development Manager to identify and develop key policy areas
  • Review documents and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Monitor continuous improvement of processes in relation to the internal and external quality assurance functions; including centre approval, reasonable adjustments, special considerations, appeals, malpractice and maladministration and sanctions
  • Collaborate with other departments to nurture the organisational culture of regulatory compliance
  • Highlight or escalate areas of concern in relation to quality audits

Personal Specification

  • Quality focused 
  • Proficient IT skills, including Word; Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Effective report-writing; communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
  • Effective time management skills
  • Ability to be proactive and work independently (with supervision)
  • Demonstratable drive and enthusiasm
  • Excellent organisation skills, to track priorities, work to deadlines and manage projects
  • Desirable Educational/Awarding Body Experience 
  • Desirable knowledge of regulatory requirements  
  • Desirable understanding of compliance and quality assurance processes and procedures
  • A commitment to self-learning and improvement
  • Ability to work to deadlines and learn new processes
