Unit Aim
The aim of this unit is to provide Learners with knowledge, understanding and skills in interior design concepts through a hands-on studio approach. This unit focuses on human-centred design, emphasising anthropometrics, ergonomics and spatial planning. Learners explore design principles, elements and techniques to create functional and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces. Through practical exercises, drawing techniques and studio projects, Learners develop spatial awareness, furniture layout skills and an understanding of lighting, colour theory and material selection.
